Vintage Fabrics and Trims
All our vintage fabrics and trims are authentic and were discovered at estates or are old new stock from businesses that have closed many years ago. These are truly antique or vintage and were manufactured 20-80 years ago or more and imported from France, Italy, Germany, Japan, or were manufactured in U.S. factories. Please do not compare an item that you find in today's market to something that was made years ago. For example, the vintage velvet ribbon shown on this website is excellent quality and is not thin and flimsy like the polyester velvet you find in today's stores. Unless noted, the fabrics or trims come in one continuous yardage and is in excellent condition. Sometimes yardage may not be continuous and is specified, but every attempt is made to provide the trim as one continuous piece. Trims specified per yard is cut from a roll and is not returnable. If the piece is already cut and is being sold as the piece, then it is returnable. Sorry, postage is not refundable unless we have made the error. Also, sometimes it is inevitable that yellowing may be present especially on older fabrics or trims. This is due to normal oxidation during storage and can be removed with various methods. We normally will not laundered the items, but you can discover many methods and suggestions on the web for restoring your vintage items. Many people may choose to use Oxiclean, which may be effective on some, but not all fabrics. All questions are welcome and we work with you so that your shopping experience is enjoyable.
